これわ”lets go to japan"プロジェクトです。私わもうおわった、プロジェクトがすきです。まだしごとをして、とてもむずかしいです。Mうずかしいから、とてもながってたくさんじかんです。たのし、でもすこしむずかしい。 This is the "lets go to japan" project. Once I was done with this project I really liked it. While I was still working on it it was really difficult. It was hard because it was vary long and took a long time. Item: Ch 1+2 speaking test
私のテストわJ−3スピキングテストでした。スピキングテストわとてもむずかしからすきではありませんとじょおずじゃない。私のはやにプラクチステストがたくさんべんきょうして、グライドがすこしすきです。まだ、私のグライドがいいからうれしいです。 My test is the J-3 ch 1+2 speaking test. Speaking tests are very difficult therefore I did a lot of practice tests and studied in my room a lot, I like my grade a little bit. Still, my grade was good so i am happy. Item: Kanji Lesson 1 これはかんじレソンいちです。これあたらしかんじわとてもきれくておもしろいです。日本いちと日本にのかんじはまあまあやさし、でも日本さんのかんじはやさくない、まあまあむずかしいです。でも、わたしはべんきょうして、ならってでした。 This is the lesson 1 kanji. These new kanji are very pretty and interesting. Japanese 1 and Japanese 2 kanji were sort of easy, but Japanese 3 kanji are not east, they're pretty hard. However, I studied them, and learned them. Parent Reflection:
We are very proud of how well Jeremy is doing Japanese 3. He is building on his skills from 1 & 2 and learning a lot. Also, thank you Mrs.Mori for the help you have given him along the way. Overarching goal: My goal this year is to better understand the Japanese language to a point where I can follow a simple conversation and reply smoothly 1st quarter goal: I want to remember as much of my Japanese 2 knowledge as possible 1st quarter reflection: I did accomplish my goal and finished out the quarter with an A in the class as well even though Japanese 3 is going to be harder than I expected and getting back into it was not easy I hope to keep accomplishing my quarterly and yearly/overarching goal 2nd quarter goals: I want to finish this quarter with a 93% (A) or higher in the class |

2nd quarter goal reflection:
this quarter I have finished with higher than a 93% in the class (not counting midterm grade because i haven't received it yet). I am very happy with this grade and proud of myself for the work I have put in to receive it. Japanese 3 is most definitely the most challenging of all the Japanese courses I have taken but I am proud of my adjustment and ability to rise to the challenge and still achieve the goals i set for myself.

私と私のかぞくはとむすしへいきます。とむすしのすしおいしそうです、そしてすしはとてもおいしです。ワイタはとてもやさしくてはやくです。レストランのなかはすこしせまいでもまだとてもかわいいです。私はおはしですしとらあめんをたべました。とむすしがだいすきです。 My family and I went to Tom Sushi. Tom Sushi's sushi looked delicious, and it was delicious. The waiter was nice and quick. The inside of the restaurant was a little bit small but still very cute. I used my chopsticks to eat some sushi and ramen. I really liked Tom Sushi. Writing Characters: これはかんじパッケットです。わたしはきゅうあたらしいのかんじをならくとかかなければなりません。あたらしかんじはとてもながくてむずかしいです。でも、私はまだかんじをかいてにいきます。 This is a kanji writing packet. For this packet I had to learn and write nine new kanji. These new kanji are very long and more difficult to write than in the past. However, I still enjoy writing Kanji. |
Project:
これはファミリレストランポロジェクトです。私のチイムはまいかさんとブライアンさんとわたしです。わたしたちはレストランスキットをしななければなりませんです。これはとてもたのしいですからポロジェクトのせいせきはよいいです。そして、ポロジェクトはたくさんじかんです、たくさんならっています。 This is the family restaurant project. My group had Maica, Brian, and Myself in it. We had to do a restaurant skit. This project was a lot of fun therefore we did a good job with it and our grade was very good. Also this project was a lot of fun and I learned a lot. Quiz and BONUS REFLECTION:
これはチャプタ六の一と二です。クゥイズはたんごとゴラーマとかんじですからわたしわクイズでべんきょうしました。このクイズはすこしむずかしい、でもわたしまだひゃくパーセンがあります。このくいずからわたしがたくさんならっていました。
This is the Chapter 6, section 1 and 2 quiz. This quiz had vocabulary and kanji and grammar on it, therefore I studied for it. This quiz was a little bit hard, however I still got one hundred percent on it. I learned a lot from this quiz. |
Parent Reflection:
I am so very proud of how Jaremy has been advancing in his Japanese speaking skills. He has always shown improvement from quarter to quarter but I've seen especially this year that he has been growing so much in his speaking and comprehension abilities. I expect he will keep up his skills and continue to advance into quarter three.

THIrd quarter:
3rd quarter goal: I want to finish third quarter with a 93 or higher in the class and enough Japanese knowledge to see me through the Japan trip
3rd quarter goal reflection: I have almost finished third quarter and I do have over a 93 in the class. I also feel I have enough knowledge of the Japanese language to see me through the Japan trip which is happening very soon. Especially because of helpful lessons like "Ta form" and transitive and intransitive verbs I am now comfortable enough with the language for travel.

JAPANESE ARTIFACT: SAKURA RESTAURANT
わたしのかぞくはさくらレストランへ行きました。わたしとあねとちちとははとおばあさんとおじいさんをいきました。さくらのたべものはとてもおいしそうでした、そしえたべものはおいしでした。さくらレストランはひばちのれすとらん、そしてりょうりにわたしたちのうえでした! そのばんごはんはとてもたのしくておもしろいでした。私はさくらにかえりたいです。 My family went to Sakura restaurant. My sister, mom, dad, grandma, and grandpa, and myself went. Sakura's food looked very delicious, and was delicious. Sakura restaurant is a hibachi style restaurant, so the cooking was done right infant of us! The dinner was very fun and very interesting. I would like to go back. |
CHARACTER WRITING: KANJI PACKET #9
これはかんじのパッケットきゅうばんです。これかんじパッケットはきゅうかんじがあります。これあたらしいかんじはとても大きくてむずかしいです。これかんじパッケットはかんじたとえば ”わかる” と ”あります” と ”しま” のかんじです。えも、わたしはこれかんじをおぼえるからこれかんじはとてもよくてヘルプフルですねえ。 This is kanji packet number nine. This kanji packet has nine kanji in it. These new kanji are very large and difficult to to. This kanji packet contains kanji such as the characters for "わかる” and "あります" and "しま". But since these kanji are good and helpful to know I am learning them. |

これクイズはチャプター五と六かんじクイズです。わたしのかんじクイズのせいせきは百一パアセントです。これかんじはかんじたとえば ”ちち” と ”はは” と ”かわ” です。これかんじクイズはとてもやさしくてよいからわたしのせいせきはとてもたかいです。 This quiz is the chapter five and chapter six kanji quiz. My grade on this quiz was a hundred and one percent. This kanji quiz had kanji on it such as the kanji for "" and "" and "" . This kanji quiz was very easy and goos so my grade was very high. |
BONUS REFLECTION (PROJECT)
これはくらべるのプロジェクトです。プロジェクトのために私とグリフさんわさんことをくらべました。私のせいせきは九十一パアセント、そしてとてもたかくてよいです。これプロジェクトはビデオプロジェクトがあります。ビデオをつくることはとてもたのしかったです。これはおもしろくてたのしいプロジェクトでした。 This is the comparison project. For this project, Griff and I had to compare three items. My grade on the project was a ninety one percent, so it was very good and high. This was a video project. Making this video was very fun. This was a very interesting and fun project. |
Parents Reflection:
We are so proud of Jeremy as we can see his Japanese improving whenever he speaks it. Also by looking at recent projects and assignments it is clear that the writing aspect of his Japanese knowledge is a lot better. We are very excited for him to go on the Japan trip this spring break and excited to see how it helps him improve his skills and experiences.

Fourth Quarter Goal:
By fourth quarter of Japanese 3, I would very much like to see my proficiency and speech get better. I would like to have my speed of reading and writing and also comprehension of speech be at the highest level it has been since I started speaking the language. This should be doable as by fourth quarter I will have been speaking Japanese for a full three years of my life.

I now know more phrases, verb and adjective forms, and sentence structures than ever before. My comprehension of speech is relatively good and my reading even better. I am sad to be leaving Japanese class but glad I at least got to the level I am at today.

私の日本の物はすきやきです。わたしはすきやきをつくりかったでした。これはプロジェクトです。すきやきをつくりかったはとてもたのしくておもしろいでした。すきやきがとてもおいしかったです。すきやきの中にたくさんざいりょうと、つくろはすこしながいでした。 My Japanese artifact is sukiyaki. I made sukiyaki this was a project. The making of sukiyaki was a lot of fun and very interesting. The sukiyaki dish ended up being very delicious. In the sukiyaki is a lot of different ingredients, and making it took sort of a long time. |
WRITING CHARACTERS: Kanji Packet 15
これはチャプターじゅうごかんじのパッケットです。このパッケっとは九新しいかんじがあると、まあまあむずかしくておおきいでした。わたしはこのかんじをおぼえりましたと、このかんじパッケットのクイズはとてもいいせいせきをもらいました。このかんじがすきです。 This is the chapter 15 kanji packet. This packet contains nine new kanji, and these kanji are somewhat difficult and large. I learned these kanji, and got a good grade on this chapters kanji quiz. I enjoyed learning these kanji. |
TEST: Ch 13 speaking test
これはチャプター十三のはなしるしけんです。でも、このはなしるのしけんはすこしおなじくないです。このはなしるしけんに、こうこうをあるいて! わたしは日本のスピカーにdirectionsをあげました。”まっすぐいって” や ”右に曲がる” と言いました。私はとてもいいせいせきをもらいました。これはたのしくておもしろいしけんでした。 This is the chapter thirteen speaking test. However, this speaking test is not the same as usual. For this speaking test, I had to walk around the school! I had to give directions to a Japanese speaking person. I had to say such things as "go straight" and "turn right". I received a very good grade on the test. This test was fun and interesting. |
PROJECT: Dream Project BONUS REFLECTION
これは私の”このなゆめをめました”プロジェクトです。このプロジェクトにわたしのなゆめをきかなければなりませんでした。わたしのなゆめにとてもわるくておおきいサンドイッチです。このサンドイッチは人をたべました。私はプロジェクトにいいせいせきをもらいました。このプロジェクトをとてもたのしかった。 This is my "The dream I Had" project. For this project I had to write out a dream I have had. In my dream there was a very bad, big sandwich. The sandwich was eating people。I got a good grade. This project was a lot of fun. |
Fourth Quarter parent reflection:
Jeremy has done so well in this, his third year of Japanese class. He has learned so much and displayed that through both his good grades in class and his usage of the language at home. Although he is not taking the language any further in school I know he has learned countless priceless things. I am so happy he decided to take Japanese as I know it has left him with so many good memories.
